A new approach to finding meaningful relationships.
To create a dating app concept that stands apart from the rest.
Starting the project from the ground up, I wanted to help Alike find their core foundation. The research and strategy to manifest the core concept was facilitated by many methodologies with users as the primary drivers.
1. DISCOVER AND IDENTIFY BUSINESS GOALS
Stakeholder interviews were conducted over a week to gain insights of team needs and aspirations. With our learnings we were able to organize the team and align goals.
2. COMPETITIVE GAP ANALYSIS
To understand how other datings apps align themselves in the market, I did a analysis of features, main differentiators and pay for options. This analysis helped the project identify missing gaps in the industry.
3. USER SURVEYS
2 separate surveys of 100 people were conducted with specific user criteria. The insights helped us understand user needs and preferences.
4. ASPIRATIONAL PROFILING & USER JOURNEYS
Findings from the Interviews, Surveys and Gap Analysis were then transcribed into aspirational personas and their possible journey with Alike's proposed differentiator.
5. USER INTERVIEWS
In-person and remote interviews were conducted with 10 users to garner candid feedback around features and concepts. We were able to gather imperative feedback that helped to mold the primary features within the experience.
A 50 page strategy document was delivered, packed full of studies and insights from real users to help the client come to a clear concept direction.
